Accessing Justice Updates

March 20, 2018

Spring has sprung, so don't be late!

Abstracts and session proposals for Accessing Justice are due March 26, 2018!  Accessing Justice will provide an inclusive and interdisciplinary forum to interrogate all aspect of access, justice, crime, law and order!  We welcome proposals that creatively apply the theme as well as other diverse takes on law, crime and justice.

Our annual conference aims to foster dialogue across the disciplines. Our past gatherings have welcomed artistic takes on justice, as well as scholarly submissions from law and legal studies, criminology/criminal justice, women's and gender studies, sociology, geography, Indigenous studies, urban studies, cultural studies, film studies, anthropology, communications, journalism and more! We also welcome participation by activists, practitioners of justice, students, and community members.

We have an exciting and diverse slate of featured speakers:

Janet Mosher (York University, Osgoode Hall Law School)

Rebecca L. Sandefur (University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, Department of Sociology and College of Law)
